Must be love on the brain

“If I was stuck at the end of time would you travel through the waves of my mistakes to find me?”

I wanted to say no. It was an absurd question dipped in a hypothetical I didn’t feel like entertaining, but this was the love of my life speaking and I knew that I’d travel through every argument all over again if it meant finding her. Especially if she was scared, which she would be, there’s nothing at the end of time but a cold void and that was not her element. She belonged outside with the other wonders of the world that gave life to the things around them. Truthfully, Id chase her through any timeline to bring her back to me, but as we sat in the grass on this starry night, I simply shrugged.

“Sure.” I said, but her smile told me I wasn’t fooling anyone. I didn’t even need to say the words, I love you had a funny way of speaking for itself.
